Triathlon

Scott Steenberg is a Danish triathlete based near Copenhagen. Starting his triathlon journey at age 10, Scott quickly made a name for himself in short-course competition, with a focus on the swim. Over the years, he has been a consistent presence in Youth, Junior, and Senior European Championships, as well as European Cups, showcasing his talent and commitment.

Scott's journey took a significant turn in 2022 when he transitioned to long-distance triathlon, a decision that would soon prove to be a game-changer. In only his second 70.3, in Aix-en-Provence, France, he secured an outstanding 2nd place. This performance earned him a spot at the World Championships in St. George, Utah, where he finished an impressive 13th — a testament to his skill and determination, especially considering his status as one of the youngest professional athletes to qualify for the Championships.

Reflecting on the challenges of the 2023 season, Scott considers his most significant accomplishment to be the discovery of his "why." Despite facing numerous obstacles and questioning his role as a professional triathlete, he navigated a journey of self-discovery that led to his being distinctly aware of his own goals and greatly valuing life as an athlete.

Scott's best career result to date is his 13th-place finish at the 2022 70.3 Worlds in St. George. Looking ahead to the 2024 season, his main goals include securing a Kona qualification and achieving a professional race victory.
