Hailey Manning

Triathlon

Hailey grew up in a small town in Ohio and began swimming competitively at age 5. Her mom and dad rode bikes recreationally, and loved longer distances. By 12, she and her sister had ridden a tandem on a 2-day, 210-mile ride! Sport has always been a form of meditation for her, and brings her mental clarity. After college (where she smoked and drank too much!), she moved to San Francisco. Always wanting to be like her big sister, in 2004, she did her first “Tri 4 Fun” and was hooked. By 2006, she had done her first half-Iron distance (Wildflower), and in 2010 decided she was ready to tackle a full Ironman. It was there that she found her groove. She qualified for Kona at that first Ironman and hasn't looked back. Nine Kona qualifications later, and she still loves the day-in, day-out “grind” and thrives in those final few hours of an Ironman. Hailey is the co-founder of Coeur Sports, a coach with HardCoeur Coaching and lives in Silicon Valley with her husband Mark and daughter Ellie.
